Responsible Gambling
Bet Smart.
Bet Responsibly.
Wagering should be entertainment, never a way to make money or solve a financial problem. Only stake what you can comfortably afford to lose.
Know Your Limits
Decide in advance how much money and time you will spend, and stop when you reach that limit. A common guideline is risking no more than 1–2% of your bankroll on a single wager.
Never Chase Losses
Increasing stakes to win back losses is the most common path to serious harm. A losing day is data, not a debt to repay.
Take Breaks
Step away regularly. Avoid betting when tired, stressed, upset, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Set Deposit Limits
Every licensed sportsbook offers deposit, loss, and time limits in its account settings. Set them before you need them.
Self Exclusion
If you need to stop, self-exclusion programs can block your access to licensed operators for a set period. Most state regulators and sportsbooks offer this, and the National Council on Problem Gambling can direct you to the right program.
